Cheese tasting

Next Wednesday, March 9th, the French Club will be holding a cheese tasting. This is the long awaited food event for the Spring semester!

We will sample four delicious cheeses, so it promises to be an event you won't want to miss. There will be a brief presentation of each cheese, time to taste and time to record your impressions and discuss them with the group.

The event will be first come first served and will begin at 6pm in Ballantine Hall room 319. I hope to see many of you there!

Faust

Thanks to all of you who came to watch the performance of Faust last night for making the event a big success!

How did everyone like the show? I thought the sets were very well done, and the costuming wasn't too shabby either. I'd love to hear your thoughts...

Upcoming French Club activities

Hello all,

This month the French Club is sponsoring two activities in addition to the weekly French Table.

First, on February 16, there will be a tour of selected French works at the IU Art Museum. If you'd like to attend, please sign up in person in the FRIT office by Tuesday, February 15. The afternoon of the tour, we'll meet in the lobby at 3:30 (the tour is scheduled to begin at 3:40). The tour will last approximately one hour and will be followed by discussion (in French) of the works we'll see.

Second, on February 25, the IU Opera is performing Faust in French (with English supertitles). Perks of attending the performance with the French Club include a discounted rate (the first 40 students to sign up pay only $5; others may pay the $10 group rate) and introductory talk preceding the opera itself. If you would like to attend this event, please sign up in person in the FRIT office no later than Tuesday, February 15.
